The memorial for those who remained at sea is a memorial in the Norwegian municipality of Averøy in Fylke Møre og Romsdal .

The memorial was erected in 2000 by the fishermen Averøys. It is located on the shore of Lyngholmen Island at the exit of the Lauvøyfjord . The Atlantic Road runs just a little south of the monument . From a parking lot on the street, a well-developed circular hiking trail leads over Lyngholmen, on the western half of which the monument stands. A little further to the southwest is the Storseisund Bridge .

The memorial consists of a fenced-in stele . A relief shows a boat in heavy seas and hands folded over it or a symbolic hand shaking. The inscription reads:

TIL MINNE OVER
OMKOMNE PÅ HAVET

TANKENE GÅR TILL ALL
DEM SOM REISTE UT,
MEN KOM ALDRI HJEM
