Geevarghese Mar Theodosius
Geevarghese Mar Theodosius (born February 19, 1949 ) is Bishop of North America and Europe of the Mar Thoma Church . He is also responsible for the German parish.
biography
After his deacon ordination on June 24, 1972, he was ordained on February 24, 1973 to Kassissa and on November 4, 1989 to Ramban , before he was finally on December 9, 1989 together with his predecessor in the office of Bishop of North America and Europe Euyakim Mar Coorilos was ordained bishop.
Theodosius studied at Baselious College in Kottayam and Mar-Thoma College in Thiruvalla . After graduation, he attended Science Leonard Theological College with a Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1972. In 1980 he received his master's degree in comparative religion from Visva Bharathi University and his doctorate in 1986 from McMaster University , Hamilton, Canada.
From 1973 he headed several parishes including Mumbai , Calcutta , Toronto and Nanthancode and served as director of the Thomas Mar Athanasius Orientation Center in Manganam . After his episcopal ordination he was responsible for the dioceses of Kunnamkulam-Madras, Trivandrum-Quilon, Chennai-Bangalore and finally Malaysia-Singapore & Australia.
