Folded cross

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Folded Cross is in the Heraldry very little used coat of arms figure . It is an unheraldic cross. A common cross is shown, the ends of the cross arms being rolled up to the rear like a paper roll. Slightly moving these four coils simulates a spatial representation.

The cross is documented in the overall coat of arms of the Counts of Waldeck-Eisenberg and Waldeck-Wildungen . These lines donated by the sons of Count Wolrad I (1444–1474) belonged to the Wiesen dominion.
