Prisoner paper

The prisoner paper (also prisoner document ) is one of five Palestinian politicians sitting in Israeli custody 18-point plan with the title English "The Document of National Agreement" ("Plan for the preservation of the Palestinian unity"). The most prominent author is the Secretary General of Fatah , Marwan Barghuti . The document was written on May 11, 2006 and calls among other things

  • an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital,
  • the release of all Palestinians imprisoned by Israel,
  • to establish the Palestinian Liberation Organization ( PLO ) as the sole advocacy group for the Palestinians ,
  • to limit (violent) resistance against the Israeli occupation to the territories occupied in 1967 ( Gaza Strip and West Bank ),
  • to form a government of the national coalition with Fatah and Hamas ,
  • an unrestricted right of return for all Palestinian refugees and their compensation,
  • the formation of a "Palestinian resistance front" as a unified fighting organization against the occupation,
  • general, free, democratic and fair elections for the presidency, legislature and local and municipal administrations,
  • international recognition of the illegality of the Israel- built wall and Israeli settlements.
