Coupled

Coupled is a technical term in heraldry and describes a special situation of the same heraldic images .

Two or more of the same Herold's pictures border close together or on top of each other (one shape in different color) and differ only in their tinging . Application makes sense for rafters , spikes , beams or stakes . Today the term is rarely used.
