Vegetable group

In the agricultural market of the European Union, a vegetable group is a group of vegetables that are comparable in terms of production and price structure.

There are basically two product groups:

• Coarse vegetables with a high cellulose content , including:
  • Stalk vegetables and sprout vegetables
  • Legumes

  • Root vegetables and tuber vegetables
  • Onion vegetables

• Fine vegetables with a low cellulose content, including:
  • Leafy vegetables
  • Fruit vegetables
  • Herb vegetables
