The Karlovy Vary Community Library is the public library of the Karlovy Vary community , Karlsruhe district . It is located in the center of the largest district of Langensteinbach and offers media for education , culture and leisure .

In addition to the “classic library inventory”, the community library has been offering its users online access to the databases of Munzinger-Archiv GmbH via a network organized by the KIVBF data center since 2013 . If you have a library card, you can use this offer to access biographies and country information inside and outside the library .

Since joining the online loan network “eBooks & more” on July 15, 2015, users have also had access to e-books and other e-media.

Accommodation

Previously housed in a school, the community library was reopened in its current premises on March 3, 2009 by Mayor Rudi Knodel. Since then, the library has 230 m² of usable space on the ground floor of a commercial and residential building opposite the town hall. The community library can also use an event room on the upper floor for readings or other events.

The community library has four employees with a total of 1.7 FTEs . One full-time position is occupied by a librarian.
