Mixed practice

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A mixed practice is a veterinary practice that treats both small animals and farm animals . A veterinary practice is run by one or more veterinarians . While the treatment of small animals usually takes place in the practice rooms, the treatment of farm animals is associated with a driving service and thus an increased expenditure of time. Mixed practice is the least specialized form of professional practice by veterinarians and a combination of small and large animal practice . In 2011, 4,822 veterinarians worked in a mixed practice in Germany, that is 40.7% of practicing veterinarians.
