Generative

Generative (from Latin generare ' to produce', 'to produce') means "producing" or generally designates the property of being able to produce something. Within different subject areas, from science and technology to art, various terms technici have been established in which the adjective "generative" occurs.

• The generative reproduction is sexual reproduction.
• The reproductive behavior is that behavior that takes on the number of children a population influence.
• In linguistics one speaks of generative grammar models , such as generative transformation grammar or generative semantics ; the corresponding sub-area is generative linguistics .
