Genet Zegay
Genet Zegay (* 1992 in Stuttgart ) is a German actress of German-Eritrean origin.
Life
She gained her first theater experience in 2006 in the youth clubs of the Junge Ensemble Stuttgart. After graduating from high school in 2011, she was part of the Junge Burg ensemble at the Vienna Burgtheater in the 2012/13 season . Since 2014 she has been working as a spokesperson for dubbing, advertising and radio plays. From 2015 to 2019 Genet Zegay studied acting at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. During her studies she was a. a. to be seen in productions at the Residenztheater in Munich and at the Salzburg Festival . In the 2018/19 season she completed the last year of her acting studies at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus as part of a cooperation with the Mozarteum Salzburg .
She has been involved with the Junge SchauSpielHaus in Hamburg since the 2019/20 season .
In 2016 she played the role of Suri in the drama Youth Without God , directed by Alain Gsponer .
