Genlisea filiformis is a carnivorous plant from the genus of trap traps ( Genlisea ). It occurs in South and Central America.

description

The native leaf rosette consists of a few to numerous obovate, spatulate to approximately circular leaves that are 3 to 5 millimeters long. The outer end of the leaf is round or extremely blunt, at the base it tapers to a winged, slender petiole that is at least as long as the blade.

The thread-like, but wiry and flexible inflorescence stem measures usually 8-20 centimeters, he wears a few long hairs that are staffed at the top with glands and 3 to 5 very small, egg-shaped, pointed bracts . It bears two to four flowers with slender flower stalks at its end . The calyx lobes are approximately blunt, elliptical elongated-round to lanceolate elongated-round and ciliate, the approximately 4 millimeter long crown is greenish-yellow or lemon-yellow, with a thick, very blunt spur that is only a little longer than the lips. Systematics

The species was first described in 1833 by Augustin François César Prouvençal de Saint-Hilaire . Like almost all species of the genus, it is placed in the subgenus Genlisea .
