Gennaro Sardo (born May 8, 1979 in Pozzuoli , Italy ) is a former Italian football player and current sports director .

Career

Sardo started his professional career in 1997 for the USD Palmese, where he came from his own youth. In 1998 he was loaned to SSC Giugliano . In 1999 he went to AC Sant'Anastasia and in 2001 to AC Nuovo Terzigno, where he played for a year. In the following seven years he changed the club four times, at Catania Calcio he was awarded to Chievo Verona in 2009 , a year later Chievo signed him as a permanent player. Here he played for seven years, sometimes as a regular player, sometimes as a supplementary player. In 2017 he finally retired from his career and became financial sports director at Chievo Verona.
