Genocide organ

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Genocide Organ is a four-piece band from Germany who published their first work Leichenlinie in 1989. The music group was founded in 1985 in Mannheim . It is best assigned to the power electronics and post-industrial genres .

Genocide Organ are considered a musical role model for many industrial groups today. Her provocative appearances and publications have deliberately led to confusion. They are pursuing a media-effective strategy typical of the genre, which cannot necessarily be seen as the private opinion of the musicians.

The members of the group make themselves anonymous on their publications, they have all artist names, "although clear names and connections to the Mannheim TESCO label , which has so far also released all GO albums, can be found on the internet ." Klaus Hilger, for example, Wilhelm Herich and Michael Rief, as Brigant Moloch, is also the head of Anencephalia . Doc M. Riot and DAX are the artist names of other members. An ex-band member (who now appears with Diutesc ) named himself after the President of the People's Court , Roland Freisler .

The band members have individual projects such as anencephaly. The often mentioned collaboration with the politically controversial group Der Blutharsch was limited to Wilhelm Herich appearing as a guest drummer and singer on the second tour of Der Blutharsch. He also made the statement "Freedom for Pinochet " made at a Der-Bloodass concert , which is mentioned again and again in this context. The aforementioned appearance from this tour, which took place in Rostock , can be seen on the live video I gave gold for iron (after the slogan I gave gold for iron ).

Many of her earlier recordings were only released in a strictly limited manner. Leichenlinie from 1989 appeared in an edition of only 291 pieces, which makes it correspondingly popular with collectors these days. Most of her albums and EPs appear on the Mannheim label Tesco Organization .
