Cooperative Association of Northern Germany

The Genossenschaftsverband Norddeutschland e. V. (GVN) was until the merger with the Genossenschaftsverband Frankfurt to the Genossenschaftsverband eV (today Genossenschaftsverband - Association of Regions ) in 2008, representing interests, training providers, auditing and advisory associations for around 1200 member cooperatives . The headquarters were in Hanover . Its catchment area extended over eight northern German states (Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein). The GVN was a regional association under the umbrella of the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Association .

In 2002 the GVN emerged from the merger of the Norddeutscher Genossenschaftsverband e. V. and the Genossenschaftsverband Berlin-Hannover e. V.
