The Gentoo Rocks (from English gentoo , Gentoo penguin ) are a group of small islands and cliff rocks off the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . They are located in the eastern entrance of the Argentino Canal in Paradise Harbor .
Polish scientists named it in 1999 after the colony of gentoo penguins ( Pygoscelis papua ) discovered here during a research trip carried out from 1984 to 1985 .
