Georg Hahn (politician)

Georg Hahn (born October 11, 1945 in Neckenmarkt ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1989 to 1999 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

After primary school in Neckenmarkt, Hahn attended the Lackenbach secondary school and then learned to be a bricklayer. He passed the journeyman's examination and did military service in 1965. He worked for Viennese construction companies from 1960 to 1970 and then worked in Burgenland from 1970 to 1983. In 1983 he moved to the Oberpullendorf Building District Office . Hahn joined the SPÖ in 1966 and became deputy chairman in 1970 and local chairman of the SPÖ Neckenmarkt in 1981. He was a local councilor from 1977 and first deputy mayor from 1982 to 1995. Hahn represented the SPÖ from October 30, 1987 to October 24, 2005 in the state parliament and was SPÖ district party chairman's deputy in the Oberpullendorf district from 1988 .
