Georg Mertz

Georg Mertz (born November 8, 1858 in Kronberg im Taunus ; † in the 20th century) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Mertz completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and worked as a journeyman carpenter in Kronberg. There he was one of the first members of the social democratic electoral association in Kronberg im Taunus in 1897. In 1906 he became chairman of the Kronberg SPD. From 1922 to 1925 he was (as a replacement for the late Johann Jakob Odenweller ) for the constituency of Obertaunuskreis in the Nassau municipal parliament and the provincial parliament of the Hesse-Nassau province . In the municipal parliament he was a member of the building committee. His candidacy for the municipal parliament elections in 1925 was unsuccessful.
