Georg Nemetschek (civil engineer)
Georg Heinz Nemetschek (born June 5, 1934 in Feldsberg , Czechoslovakia ) is a German civil engineer . He founded the construction software company Nemetschek AG .
Life
In 1963, Nemetschek founded a civil engineering office that started using self-developed programs for structural calculations from 1968 and sold them from 1977. A construction software company developed from this. In 1971 he became a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and later dean of the civil engineering department. He expanded his company into Nemetschek AG . In 2007 he founded the Nemetschek Foundation to consolidate basic democratic values .
He has been widowed since 2016 and has two sons.
