Georg Schmidt (lawyer)

Georg Schmidt (* 1957 in Trier ) is a German lawyer and president of the administrative court in Trier.

Career

Schmidt completed his legal training in 1986 and became a research assistant at the Higher Administrative Court of Rhineland-Palatinate, where he was also employed as a judge . His professional positions included the Federal Administrative Court in Berlin, the Administrative Court of Koblenz as presiding judge and the Administrative Court of Neustadt as its vice-president. Schmidt repeatedly returned to the administrative court in Trier, of which he became president in 2007.
