George Drysdale
George R. Drysdale (* 1825 , † 1904 ) was a British sexologist , brother of Charles Robert Drysdale (founder of the Malthusian League 1877).
George Drysdale studied the work of Malthus . Like William Thompson , he recommended sexual development. Like Charles Bradlaugh , he advocated population control . On this basis, a sexual ethic was formulated that declared living out sexuality as health promotion and advocated the separation of sexuality and reproduction.
Together with John Stuart Mill , Drysdale stands for early demands for sexual, economic and social self-determination rights of women.
