George James Cole, Baron Cole
George James Cole, Cole Baron GBE (* 3. February 1906 in Singapore ; † 29. November 1979 ) was a from Australia originating British entrepreneurs , business leaders , politicians and Life Peer .
Life
Cole, who worked as an entrepreneur and business manager, was knighted in 1973 to the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire , which he then carried the suffix "Sir".
By a letters patent dated March 24, 1965, he was raised to Life Peer under the Life Peerages Act 1958 with the title Baron Cole , of Blackfriars in the County of London, and was a member of the House of Lords until his death . On April 14, 1965 on its introduction (followed Introduction ) in the upper house.
