George Young (medic)
George Young (* in the 18th century , † in the 19th century ) was a British medic .
Life
George Young was a British surgeon who served as Vice-President of the Surgical Academy and Senior Surgeons at Aldersgate Street in London around 1822 .
On November 28, 1822, George Young was given the academic surname Hunter under matriculation no. In 1262 admitted to the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina . His nickname was a throwback to the 18th century surgeon John Hunter who worked at St. George's Hospital in London and is considered the founder of experimental scientific surgery.
