Georges Köhler Prize
The Georges Köhler Prize is a science prize awarded for research in the field of immunology . The award honors scientists under 40 years of age whose outstanding research has contributed to an expanded understanding of the immune system , as well as the resulting applications. The prize was named after the Nobel Prize winner Georges Jean Franz Köhler .
The prize is endowed with 3,000 euros (as of 2018) and is usually awarded at the annual conference of the German Society for Immunology , alternatively at the European Congress of Immunology .
