Georges Moineau

Georges Moineau (* 1914 in Reims ; † August 15, 2008 ) was a French composer .

Life

Moineau learned the violin in Reims and Paris. He then studied harmony , counterpoint , fugue and composition with Jean Roger-Ducasse and Tony Aubin at the Conservatoire de Paris . In 1947 he became a teacher of composition and chamber music at the Conservatoire de Reims . Jean-Louis Petit was one of his students . His works have often been performed by the Alouettes de Champagne choir conducted by Arsène Muzerelle . To mark the reopening of the Saint-Remi Abbey in 1958, his mass solennelle de saint Remi was performed .
