Georgi Djagarov
Georgi Georgiev Dshagarow ( Bulgarian Георги Георгиев Джагаров ; born July 14, 1925 in Byala , † November 30, 1995 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian politician , poet and playwright.
Life
From 1966 to 1972 he was chairman of the Bulgarian Writers' Association . He was also a member of the Bulgarian Communist Party . From 1966 he was a member of the party's central committee . In 1971 he became deputy chairman of the Bulgarian State Council .
He wrote and published poems in which he also incorporated his political views. He also wrote plays. Djagarov was awarded the Dimitrov Prize in 1966 .
