Gerald A. Geisler (born March 7, 1978 in Vienna ) is an Austrian canter trainer with training quarters in Iffezheim.

Life

Gerald Geisler was born into a family involved in Austrian horse racing and came into contact with horses at an early age . When he was fifteen, he rode his first morning work on the horses of the family's Hernstein racing stable at the Freudenau horse racing track in Vienna. He began his amateur racing career at the age of 17, victorious on Pink Floyd . In the course of time there were victories in Italy, Slovakia and Switzerland. The highlight of his amateur racing career is certainly his appearance for Austria in the Fegentri. His school career includes the Matura at the Wiedner Gymnasium, a few semesters of law and the completion of a commercial college. After completing his military service, Gerald Geisler successfully passed the test to acquire a license to train horse racing horses in 2001 and began working as a trainer in Freudenau in Vienna. An interim relocation to the 2004 newly built facility in Ebreichsdorf (Magna Racino) was followed by a move to the Riem racecourse in Munich at the beginning of the 2005 season . Since February 2010 he has had his training base in Iffezheim . From 2005 to 2006 he worked for the television station Premiere Win and in 2009 for Equi8 as a commentator for national and international horse races.

He celebrated his 100th victory on August 15, 2008 with the Qi ridden by Filip Minarik in Munich-Riem.
