Gerd Grube

Gerd Grube (born May 23, 1960 ) is a German engineer and former rector of the SRH Fachhochschule Hamm . At the private University of Applied Sciences Europe (formerly Business and Information Technology School ) in Iserlohn he works as a lecturer and vice dean of the Business & Technology Management course .

Gerd Grube studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dortmund and was then employed as a deputy head of the institute at the TU. He worked for several years as an entrepreneur and in 1992 founded Carat Robotic Innovations GmbH , which develops and produces robot technology for industry. In 1995 IGA mbH was founded , whose business field comprises postal logistics , business improvement and knowledge management . He is still active as managing director of both companies today. He is also a member of the Stromag AG supervisory board .

In April 2007 he was appointed rector of the SRH University of Applied Sciences Hamm . At the same time he took over the chair for robot and handling technology. He was a co-founder and board member of the Academic Society Hamm . At the beginning of 2009 he resigned as rector of the university in order to concentrate more on his entrepreneurial activities. At the same time, he has been a professor at BiTS Iserlohn since the 2009/2010 winter semester and, as vice dean, heads the Business & Technology Management bachelor's degree .
