Gerd Sachs
Gerd Sachs (born April 22, 1961 ) is a former German soccer player .
The goalkeeper played from 1985 to 1988 for BSG Motor Weimar in the GDR league. In the 1988/89 season he was with Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the GDR league. In the second half of 1989 he was part of the BSG Union Mühlhausen squad , but returned to Erfurt for the second half of the season. After the reunification he joined the second division club SC Freiburg . In the winter break of 1991/92, Sachs received anabolic steroids after an injury and was suspended from the club until the end of the season after a positive test. In 1992/93 he was then under contract with SSV Jahn Regensburg in the Bayern League.
