Gerd Watkinson
Percy Gerd Watkinson , known as Gerd Watkinson (* 1918 ; † May 15, 2011 in Springe ), was a German composer .
Watkinson worked as a professor of music at the Lörrach University of Education and led various choirs in the lower Wiesental , a. a. the Haltingen choir, the "Chor 72" choirs he founded and a children's choir in Lörrach. In 1986 Watkinson received the annual "Lever Thanks" from the Lörrach Lever Association. His compositions include numerous a cappella works for all types of choir.
In his youth Watkinson was in a relationship with the later Chancellor wife Loki Schmidt .
