Gerhard Aigner
Gerhard Aigner (born September 1, 1943 in Regensburg ) is a German football official .
After his sporting career as a footballer at VfB Regensburg (1957–1964), FC Moutier (1968–1969) and FC Muri-Gümligen (1970–1979) and as a referee (1963–1966), Gerhard Aigner became UEFA General Secretary in 1989 , to which he had been a functionary since 1969. In 1999 the position of General Secretary was renamed General Director. He held this post until his resignation at the end of 2003. The Swede Lars-Christer Olsson was appointed as his successor .
