Gerhard Furtmüller

Gerhard Furtmüller (born February 7, 1967 ) is an Austrian business economist, scientist , lecturer at the WU Vienna and author .

Life

Gerhard Furtmüller is a Senior Lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , where he works in the Department of Management.

In his research he is dedicated to the emergence of intrinsic motivation. In this context he deals with the question of how the "weaker self" can be defeated. He succeeded in solving this problem by demonstrating the crowding-in effect. The “generation of motivation coming from within” has been published in the journal Academy of Management Learning and Education .
