Gerhard Loosch

Gerhard Loosch (born June 8, 1894 in Hohensalza ; † February 15, 1965 in Wiesbaden ) was a German officer in the Wehrmacht with the rank of general and later an administrative officer of the Bundeswehr.

Life

During his studies, Loosch became a member of the Leipzig fraternity Germania in 1913 . After studying law with a doctorate, he was director of the Reichswehr and the Wehrmacht from 1924 and a military administration officer during World War II , most recently with the rank of general director (promotion on December 1, 1943, comparable to the rank of major general ) and army group director. After the war and an imprisonment of war that lasted until 1947, he was an independent lawyer until 1950 and then an administrative officer in civilian employment in the Blank office . In the period from May 1, 1956 to November 30, 1959, he was President of Defense Division IV in Wiesbaden .
