Gerhard Wegner is the founder and president of the shark and marine protection organization Sharkproject International e. V. and owner of a sales marketing agency.

Act

Wegner has been diving for 40 years and has experienced around 1,500 special shark dives, where the focus was on getting to know the animals. Since the founding of Sharkproject in 2002, he has been fighting against the “man-eater” image of the sharks. So far he has published seven books on this subject. His publications on the subject of sharks are as broad as the target groups of his message. He has published non-fiction, children's books, cartoon volumes and an adventure novel about finning, which was also published in Spanish in 2013.

Wegner lives and works in Offenbach-Rumpenheim .
