Sharkproject International e. V. is an international initiative for the protection and research of sharks . It was founded in Germany in 2002 and is mainly active in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

history

After the founding of the international (umbrella) association on August 2, 2002, a Swiss association followed in 2006 and a German association in 2008. In 2010 an Austrian club was added.

According to its own information, Sharkproject was the first marine protection organization to receive the donation seal of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) in August 2008 and let it expire in 2016.

Sharkproject claims to have various campaigns:
