Judicial Office Borna
The Borna court office was the lowest administrative unit between 1856 and 1874 after the abolition of patrimonial legislation in the Kingdom of Saxony. It had its official seat in the city of Borna .

Under the Saxon King Johann the German took place after the death of his predecessor, as in other States Federal abolishing Patrimonialgesetzgebung . The centrally located district courts and court offices in almost all larger cities replaced the courts of the lowest instance that had previously existed in the city and state of the Kingdom of Saxony. The details of the administrative reform were regulated by the Saxon Court Constitution Act of August 11, 1855 and the ordinance on the formation of judicial districts of September 2, 1856.
The deadline for the entry into force of the new administrative structure in the Kingdom of Saxony was October 1, 1856. The Borna court office was subordinate to the responsible district court in Leipzig.
All branches of civil and criminal jurisdiction in the soft cityscape were administered by the Borna judicial office. The police and the police jurisdiction, with the exception of passport and foreign affairs, which also administered the judicial office, belonged to the mayor and the municipal council, to which the entire welfare, security, commercial and servant police as well as the guild system were subordinate.
After the restructuring of the court organization in accordance with the law on the organization of the authorities for internal administration of April 21, 1873, the administrative powers of the court offices were transferred to the reorganized or newly formed administrative authorities in 1874.
Since the previous royal court was called the royal court office, its board has held the title of court captain.
The court office Borna was in the course of the restructuring of the Saxon court system under the Law on the organization of the authorities for the internal administration of the April 21, 1873 part of the newly created in 1874 Amtshauptmannschaft Borna .
The Borna court office was replaced in 1879 by the newly established Borna District Court on the basis of the law on the provisions for the implementation of the Courts Constitution Act in the German Empire of January 27, 1877 and the law on the jurisdiction of courts in matters of non-contentious jurisdiction of March 1, 1879 .
