German American Country Music Federation

The German American Country Music Federation (GACMF) was a civil law society that had set itself the goal of promoting and disseminating country music in Germany. The focus of the organization, which was officially presented in 1993, was on supporting German artists, productions and activities in the country sector.

GACMF Awards

The GACMF has organized the “Country Music Award Gala” every year since 1992, during which the awards of the same name were given to German artists.

On September 30, 2006, the band Texas Lightning was awarded five prizes at the 14th GACMF Awards in the Erfurt exhibition center . The award for “Entertainer of the Year” went to the group Truck Stop , Linda Feller was chosen as “Singer of the Year” and Tom Astor as “Singer of the Year” ; Gunter Gabriel received the "Pioneer Award".
