history

FC Germania Forst was founded on April 7, 1909. In June 1919, he was accepted into the South German Football Association . There they won the championship in the C-class straight away. In 1920 the FC won the championship in the B class and rose to the district class. In 1934 he was promoted to the district league.

From 1957/58 the successful period began with promotion to the 2nd amateur league. For several years they always played at the top until the championship succeeded in 1963 and the club rose to the highest amateur class of the 1st amateur league in North Baden .

In the 1965/66 season Germania Forst was North Baden amateur champion. In the promotion round to the Regionalliga Süd, the Black Forest Lake Constance champions FC 08 Villingen was one point better than Forst.

The second North Baden championship was celebrated at the end of the 1968/69 season . The promotion to the Regionalliga Süd was again denied to the north Baden, because VfR Heilbronn had two points more on the account and rose. After twelve years of membership you had to relegate from the 1st amateur league at the end of the 1974/75 season .

In 1977 the Germania could not qualify for the dissolution of the 2nd amateur league as third from bottom for the newly created regional league and was downgraded to the district league. After a few years in the district league, he won the district championship in 1985 and thus rose to the state league.

Two years later the championship was celebrated there again and in 1987 they were promoted to the association league. In 1992 you had to go back to the national league as fourth from bottom. In 1996 one took part as a runner-up in promotion games to the Association League North Baden. In 1998, as a champion, he was promoted to the association league, in which they played until their next relegation in 2003. A year later, he was relegated to the district league again. In 2007 it went back to the national league. The 2009 championship was followed by another one-year detour to the association league. Several promotions and relegations between the regional and district leagues followed.
