Germanistic treatises

German Studies is the title of one of the first specialist journals in German philology .

It was founded by Karl Weinhold , continued by Friedrich Vogt and finally published by Walther Steller . From 1882 to 1934 there were 68 booklets with a total of 13,536 pages, published by M. & H. Marcus in Breslau, some of them also by Wilhelm Koebner's publishing house in Breslau. The series was reprinted (as reduced facsimiles) by Olms in Hildesheim 1972–1977.
