Gernot Grömer (* 1975 in St. Florian ) is an Austrian astrophysicist and television presenter .

Live and act

Grömer completed a diploma course in astronomy at the University of Innsbruck , followed by a doctoral degree in astrobiology . He is co-founder and administrative director of the Austrian Space Forum (ÖWF). Grömer and his team from the Austrian Space Forum simulate Martian expeditions and are considered the first Austrian analog astronaut. In addition, the members of the OeWF team under Grömer's leadership were the first in Europe to develop a space suit for Mars . Grömer teaches and researches at the University of Innsbruck and the International Space University . Since July 2018 he has been moderating the program PM Wissen on ServusTV .
