Gerold Jump

Gerold Sprung (born January 16, 1944 in Ganderkesee ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1999 to 2006 he was mayor of the community of Ganderkesee.

Life

On May 16, 1999, he received the required absolute majority in the first ballot and was thus the first directly elected mayor of the municipality ( single track ). For reasons of age, he did not run again for the local elections in 2006. His successor was Alice Gerken-Klaas .

Sprung is married and has two grown children. After his training for the senior civil service career, he has a total of 38 years of professional experience, 12 of which as Ganderkese municipal director . Currently (2013) he is among other things chairman of the "Friends of Hasbruch eV" and of the German Red Cross in the district of Oldenburg .
