Geronimo Stilton is an Italian children's book series and animated film series started in 2000 about a character of the same name published by Edizioni Piemme .
The actually stuffy mouse Geronimo Stilton lives in Mausilia on the Mouse Island and works as a publisher of the daily newspaper “Neue Nager-Nachrichten”. He writes stories about his exciting adventures, in which he solves criminal cases and searches for treasure. When he is aroused, Stilton shouts “Good Gouda!”. He is supported by his nephew Benjamin (whose computer is called Benpad) and his girlfriend Pandora, his sister Thea and his clumsy, hungry cousin Farfalle, called FF.
The book Geronimo Stilton in the Kingdom of Fantasia also serves as a template for a musical of the same name .
