Gerra (unit)

The gerra [ d͡zərɐ ] ( Catalan for 'jug') was a Spanish liquid measure in Menorca and corresponded to the jug.

The Gerra could be divided into 2 Cuateras and these in turn into 2 half Cuateras (Medias-Cuateras) each and had 12.063 liters .

A wine pipa had 40 gerras.
