Gerrit Noordzij Prize

Gerrit Noordzij Prize is an award presented by the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten and the Meermanno Museum in The Hague under the patronage of Dr. PA Tiele Foundation for particularly outstanding achievements in the field of font design , typography and teaching . The award is given every three years. It is named after the Dutch typographer Gerrit Noordzij, who taught typeface at the KABK for 30 years and was also the first recipient of the award.

It is tradition that the award is determined by what has been previously awarded. Three years after the award is made, an exhibition will take place at the same time as the next award, and a publication will be published in honor of the award winner.
