Gertraud Putz

Gertraud Putz (born August 24, 1956 in Villach ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

She attended elementary and secondary school in Villach and graduated from the Higher Federal College for Economic Women’s Professions in 1975. From 1975 to 1980 she studied theology at the University of Salzburg . For two years she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Political Science at the International Research Center for Fundamental Science. After obtaining her doctorate in 1982, she was an assistant at the Institute for Christian Social Studies at the University of Salzburg from June 1982 . On May 31, 1992, she was transferred to the permanent employment relationship and received the official title of assistant professor.

Her research interests are fundamental rights , human rights , church and state , socio-ethical issues, power and violence, non-violence , justice and mercy and political saints.
