In 1831 he painted a picture of the high choir and high altar of St. Stephen's Cathedral (it is now in the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe ).

Then he painted an altarpiece in oil, with the Breisach town patrons Gervasius and Protasius together with a Madonna, who is surrounded by angels and hovers over the Breisach St. Stephen's Cathedral. This work of art made a great impression on Grand Duke Leopold . Krezmaier is said to have portrayed children from the city of Breisach in the angels' faces.
