The entire old town of Besigheim in Besigheim , a town in the Ludwigsburg district in Baden-Württemberg , consists of the founding core with two castles, the castle towers as urban dominants and the well-preserved building stock from the 16th to 19th centuries.
The very well-preserved historical city plan, an almost closed, double city wall and the cultural landscape embedding of the city in the wine - growing area form an overall facility in Besigheim within the meaning of Section 19 of the Monument Protection Act, whose preservation is of particular public interest .
