Business Audit Committee

Business Audit Commissions ( GPK ) are standing parliamentary commissions formed by members of parliament in Switzerland and Liechtenstein .

Its task consists in the political supervision of the executive and administration at federal level as well as in cantons and communes. The president and the members of the GPK are usually elected for one legislative period by the respective parliament . The GPK regularly submits its reports to parliament . The powers of a GPK to inspect files and interview people are less extensive than those of a Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (PUK). In political communities that do not have a parliament, the GPK is elected by the people. She presents her reports to the community meeting .
