Protected part of the landscape of the Negro rim
The protected landscape component Auensaum der Neger with 0.09 hectares is located north of Siedlinghausen in the city of Winterberg . The area was designated as a protected landscape component (LB) in 2008 when the Winterberg landscape plan was drawn up by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LB borders in the north on the city limits of Winterberg.
Area description
It is the floodplain bordering the Neger River. This floodplain is designated as a protected landscape component of the Negro brook with floodplain in the Olsberg urban area.
Protective reason
The LB was included as an outstanding landscape structuring element and near-natural networking biotope as well as to secure a biotope according to § 62 LG. The floodplain is a legally protected biotope according to § 30 BNatSchG .
