The protected landscape component of the former Ambrock quarry with an area of 1.8 hectares is located in the area of the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The LB was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen. The LB is located in the Asmecker Bachtal landscape protection area .

Description in the landscape plan: “The landscape component is located east of Delsterner Straße (B 54) near Ambrock. It is a former quarry in the Brandenberg strata of the Middle Devon with an approx. 40 m high steep face and rock debris fields. "
Protection purpose
According to the landscape plan, the designation was made "to ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by maintaining a habitat for warmth-loving animal and plant species and to structure and revitalize the landscape by maintaining a geoscientifically remarkable object."
