The Asmecker Bachtal landscape protection area with an area of 569.26 hectares is located in the area of the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.
description
The LSG borders directly on the A 45 in the east . On the other side of the A 45 is the Egge conservation area . In the west, the B 54 and the development of Hagen-Dahl form the border with the Eilper Berg / Langenberg nature reserve . In the north, the L 693 forms the border in the northeastern area. Further west, the LSG goes beyond the L 693 and borders a cemetery and the Hardt nature reserve . The northernmost tip then encompasses a forest area almost to the road behind the gardens . In the south, the LSG goes to the landscape protection area Brantenberg, Stapelberg .
In the LSG there are mainly forest areas and smaller agricultural areas. The two listed former farms Brake and Auf dem Stein are located in the area . A former quarry is also part of the protected area.
Protection purpose
According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to maintain and restore the efficiency of the natural balance, in particular by securing valuable forest communities, especially in the area of the Asmecker Bachtal, because of the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of the landscape and because of the special importance of the forest area for recreational use geared towards experiencing nature for the residents of the Dahl area ”.
